Snarky asked:
We are planning on staying at the Old Woolstore Hotel, and hitting the casino while in Hobart. But many years ago while visiting the West Point Casino, it required jacket and tie to enter. Does anyone know if they have relaxed the requirement, or do I need to make another shopping trip for more clothes?

I think as an American, you should always try to look your best. There are enough disrepectful American tourists out there, like those who trashed the disco in Bari. We need to represent the USA much better while overseas. Get the jacket regardless.

I am not going to state the obvious, because I think your avatar just tells us your preferences perfectly, but why don’t you play it safe and just buy yourself a dapper suit to wear and wow your wife. I am sure she would appreciate your new clothes for five minutes, you know, before you start wearing them around your ankles.

I was there in the summer months, like most sane people. They have relaxed their standards, somewhat. If you appear in nice attire, you will be admitted.

I plan to wear a tie.
ONLY a tie.
Pretty sure they’ll let me in.
